 Wall and Lakes Holiday Cottage is the perfect, peaceful place to enjoy an Autumn/Winter break.  Cosy and warm, clean and comfortable.

From your doorstep there are lots of local walks, check out this link to Brampton Parish Council Local Walks & Rights Of Way – Brampton Parish Council for details of walks to stunningly beautiful Talkin Tarn, historic Lanercost Priory, picturesque Gelt Woods and more.  Full details of these walks and many more are also provided in the cottage and as local owners we are happy to share our knowledge of the many nearby walks and attractions.

 Not to mention the wide selection of local amenities, pubs and café’s within easy walking distance in the friendly market town of Brampton.  Such as The Howard Arms pub, Mr Brown’s cafe, Talkin Tarn, Hayton Lane End and Lanercost Priory tea rooms, to mention a few.  Also, always worth a visit, just a few miles away, is The Hallbankgate Hub (traditional shop/café); Belted Will Inn (friendly pub & great bar meals) and The RSPB bird reserve.  Then of course a visit to Hadrian’s Wall is an absolute must either a walk along part of The Wall of just a visit to one of its nearby fortes, such as Birdoswald, The Sill, Walltown Country Park (accessible friendly) or Vindolanda.  Making time, of course, for a day in The Lakes, perhaps Ullswater, under an hour by car, or venturing a little further to charming Borrowdale, Windermere or Grasmere.

Or perhaps you just want to rest and unwind in those comfy beds, sitting in the cosy front room looking out at the peaceful countryside views and sipping your morning coffee in the warm cosy porch.  You might even get some Autumn sunshine with opportunities to enjoy the large garden and patio area.
