Is WiFi available? Yes. Efficient WiFi is provided throughout the cottage. There is a small desk suitable for laptop use, as well as a larger table area if you need more space.
How far is the cottage from Carlisle? Wall & Lakes Holiday Cottage is conveniently located for the A69 into Carlisle (about 10 miles/ 20 minutes) or heading NE towards Hexham/Newcastle, with easy access to the M6. Brampton is also within a short walk, providing cafés, pubs, takeaways and local shops close to the cottage.
Is cleaning included during a professional stay? Yes. For stays of up to 28 days, we provide a full complimentary cleaning service every 7 days, together with fresh luxury bedding and towels. Cleaning is completed by owners who are happy to arrange a convenient day/time for you.
How many people can stay? The cottage sleeps a maximum of four people in two king-sized beds. One king-sized bed can be split into two small (2ft 6”) singles, making the accommodation flexible for colleagues or professionals travelling together. It is important you inform us of any changes to members of a group staying at the property.
Can I make a short-term commercial booking? We welcome guests making their own direct bookings, although, we can also take bookings made on behalf of businesses and commercial organisations, providing this is clearly stated when making the reservation. If not a direct booking, then the person making the booking will need to provide business name and details, along with their own name and contact details. We also always require the names, permanent residential addresses and contact details of all members of the group who will be staying at the property. Providing this information at the time of booking helps us ensure we have the correct details for your stay and allows us to prepare the cottage appropriately.
Can I run my business from Wall & Lakes Cottage? Wall & Lakes Cottage is a place to stay, relax and use as a convenient base for travelling to work. While you are welcome to use the WiFi and a laptop for normal activities during your stay, you cannot operate or run a business from the property. The cottage is ideally located for professionals working in Carlisle and across Cumbria, providing a comfortable and peaceful home-from-home to return to after work.
